Since the last two years, LHMC Alumni Association
organizes its annual alumni meet on the 3rd Sunday
of December. The program for 2006 began with an
address by the President and Secretary of the LHMC
Alumni Association, which was followed by handing
over of Awards to meritorious students.
President of the silver jubilee batch (1977-1981)
handed over a cheque of Rupees 2 lacs on behalf
of the entire batch to the LHMC Alumni Association

scholarship for needy students). Books worth Rs
90,000 were donated for the KSCH library by Dr Sangeeta
Nagpal of the silver jubilee batch The batch also
felicitated their teachers who taught them from
day 1 to the end of their academic careers at Hardinge
and released a Souvenir, excerpts from which may
be accessed elsewhere on this website. It included
write-ups, experiences & literary attempts from
various alumni, along with up-to-date contact information
for the entire batch, along with their family photographs.
An Audio-Visual Cultural Show put up by Silver Jubilee
Batch was the grand finale to the wonderful afternoon
- a complete in-house production with little anecdotes
from 1977 to 1981 - the show, enacted by the batch
themselves, with in-house choreography, direction,
compering, singing, dancing - a thorough entertainer
that sent everyone down the nostalgia lane!
This annual meet of old hardonians is a great day
for all the alumni - a day filled with joy and delight
for all everyone! Reviving old memories and catching
up with dear friends - much remembered but hardly-in-touch-ever!
But that's not the only reason for jubilation for
those associated with the LHMC Alumni Association.
Even more important is the meeting with the wise-old
teachers and mentors who inspired and guided their
students and enabled them to be where they are today.
In spite of a lot of changes in the college building,
including changes in the faculty of Hardinge, all
the alumni still retain that sense of belonging.
