From the Secretary’s Desk


Dear friends,
We have taken over in September 2009, and have worked hard towards this annual event. Forgive us for any lapses. LHMC alumni association will be celebrating its annual meet on the 19th Dec 2010, at the Swarn Jayanti Auditorium, LHMC. Each year, the batch completing 25 years (since passing final MBBS) is felicitated and a Hardonian memento presented to each one. This year’s silver jubilee batch is 1985 passing out. We would like you all to come so that you can meet your friends, colleagues and teachers and also visit your own Alma Mater & refresh your student period memories. Believe me the college is still the same as before & will sure revive all those fond & lovely memories that you have kept suppressed within yourselves while pursuing ahead in your professional & personal lives. Once you are here, you will become that same little girl scared of entering anatomy dissection hall, sitting in the corridor eating lunch or making histology drawings or anatomy scrap book or mugging up for the test after lunch in physiology. A bell tinkles somewhere? Your children & spouses will also love to visit the place from where you were born. Do come. It will be lovely to meet you all and each other. The function will begin at 10 am on the 19th Dec 2010 (Sunday). Please try to be on time so that the function can begin on time & we can all have lunch on time. This Annual day, the Golden Jubilee batch will also be felicitated (1960 pass outs). Earlier batches will be also felicitated. Annual Dr Leela G Keswani’s Oration will be also held annual day. Dr Usha Kiran, professor & HOD Cardiac Anesthesia, AIIMS, ND, has kindly consented to give the oration on a subject very dear to her & also of interest to all.

Important Information & Alumni Activities
 
  1. All those being felicitated must be Life Members of the LHMC Alumni Association
  2. Membership fee is Rs.2000/- (for Indian residents) & $ 200/- for NRI's (please give all details along with 2 passport size photographs)
  3. Lunch registration fee for members is Rs 350/ per head & Rs 600/ for couples (spouse only)
  4. All additional persons at Rs 350/ per head
  5. LHMC alumni association gives awards & medals to meritorious students. Those wishing to donate can do so:-

    a. Rs 25,000/- for one medal for 10 years
    b. Rs 3 Lacs for one running scholarship @ Rs 1000/PM
    c. Rs 5 Lacs for two running scholarships @ Rs 1000/PM
    d. Rs 1Lac for one students education (@Rs 1000/PM) & one medal for 10 years
    e. Rs 75,000 for one onetime scholarship
  6. Alumni provides mid day snacks to students of a Primary school attached to LHMC. The fund has been raised from Rs 500/PM to Rs 1500/PM from November 2009 onwards
  7. Golden Jubilee Batch includes those who passed MBBS examination in 1960. List of registered Life Members of Golden Jubilee felicitation, is given below.
  8. Golden Jubilee batch (MBBS 1960 & earlier pass outs not felicitated earlier), will also be felicitated. Please contact your batch mates, so that they can also attend the function.
  9. Silver Jubilee Batch includes 1985 MBBS pass outs – please confirm attendance by 15th November 2010, so that mementos with your names can be readied for you.
  10. Please register / inform by 15th of December, so that requisite arrangements can be made
  11. Please get 2 passport size photos to attach with Life Membership form.
